Chisou, Barley Mow Passage
If you are looking for high-end Japanese dining, as of April 2012 this is by far the best restaurant in Chiswick. There are alternatives when it comes to Japanese and Pan-Asian, but the choice of sakes and cocktail menu – not to mention the gorgeous menu – make this the finest Japanese restaurant in the area.
Franco Manca, Chiswick High Road
Even with the new Jamie’s resto in town, Franco Manca is still the pizza restaurant of choice in Chiswick. Truly a “Pizza Express Killer” in every way – ambience, quality of ingredients, and, amazingly, price – this restaurant specialises in traditional Neapolitan pizza, sourdough made on-site, gorgeous ingredients, and speedy service.
The Cabin Grill, Chiswick High Road
The Cabin treads that fine line between classy and friendly very well. Brilliant steak, good cocktails, great service.
Makoto Sushi Bar, Devonshire Road
Although I’ve only given this 7/10 for ‘dining experience’, that rating is precisely what I want from a local sushi bar. I don’t want bells / whistles / gimmicks, I don’t want silver service, and I don’t want any emphasis on interior design…
